What The Groom Is Expected To Purchase

without comments

By reading into this piece, a guess could be ventured that you are a groom that is preparing for an upcoming wedding and you are unsure as to what you are going to be responsible for purchasing. You actually have more items on this list than you might have considered, but that is just the nature of adding someone else to your life permanently.

People typically spend a lot of money when weddings are concerned. Generally speaking, the money is usually spent the most by the father of the bride, but you shouldn’t count on that now that the roles seem to be in a constant state of fluctuation. You have to be ready and willing to take a lot of the cost on yourself, so save up and be prepared for what might come your way.

Now, there are certain things that are going to be your responsibility, such as the rings. You have to buy all of the rings, for both you and her, though likely you have already at the very least purchased a proper engagement ring. Now, there are plenty of great choices but you should find one ring that compliments her engagement ring. Now, you have to start thinking mens wedding bands.

Because, yes, you are going to be responsible in most cases to afford your own ring as well. So the challenge here when you are looking at wedding bands for men would be to find a particular ring that compliments the rings that you have purchased for her. While you might not care that much, she is certainly going to appreciate the fact that you cared enough to get a ring that would look right when it is placed right beside her own.

You are also going to be responsible for getting your own suit or tuxedo. Granted, you are likely going to want to lean more towards the suit than the tux, but that is entirely up to you. Now, this is not something that you try and get for free, as you are going to want to look your best. You want to look your very best for her, as she is going to look her very best for you.

The last item might seem a little ridiculous, but this is for the smaller percentage of those having shotgun weddings. State law now requires children to ride in car seats in every state of the country, so you might care to purchase yourself a Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat, in case you don’t expect to get one at the wedding shower or the reception.

So, if you are a groom wondering what you are going to be asked to buy for your wedding coming up, than hopefully you were aided by this article. There are certainly more things to consider, but this should certainly give you an idea of some of the essentials, no matter what your circumstances.

The Bride’s Main Responsibilities When Organizing A Marriage

without comments

Organizing a wedding is a very long process and it can begin even more than a year before the actual marriage date. In general, the bride is the one who works the most for the preparation of the ceremony. She can rely on the groom and his family to get some aid, but she is generally very concerned about the wedding day. This fact leads to the result that she does many more things than she is supposed to.

The bride has traditionally many responsibilities, and include buying the wedding gown, booking the specialists that will be needed during the marriage, booking the honeymoon and buying the wedding band for her partner.

The two most difficult things a bride has to do are probably choosing the groom’s band and the gown. The first task can be hard to do because nowadays there are many types of wedding bands for men, and the bride needs to choose the ring that suits her partner best.

When choosing among the myriad of men wedding bands which are currently available, the bride should consider a couple of things. The future husband will(hopefully) wear the band until the end of his life, so it needs to be very comfortable to wear. For instance, wide bands and sharp angles should be avoided. The first thing, however, is affected by the finger length of the groom.

Moreover, mens wedding bands are produced in many different models, and the bride should choose a ring her partner will like. If a woman does not know what kind of ring her partner will like, she can ask the partner’s mother or the groom himself. Furthermore, the bride has to consider any metal allergy that the groom may have.

The second hard task of the bride is choosing her own wedding gown. In this case, she does not need to ask herself what another person would like, but since it is a very important dress, this is also a hard choice. The dress should obviously be one the bride likes, but it is also important to choose the silhouette that best suits her. Another important thing is that the wedding gown should be appropriate for the occasion, meaning that the bride should always bear in mind where and how her wedding will take place.

Once the bride has done these two things, as well as many others, she is ready for the biggest day of her life.

Plan Your Attendant’s Gifts In Advance So You Are Prepared To Thank Them Properly

without comments

Every bride wants to feel special and that includes me. I have always dreamed of walking down the isle in a satin wedding dress to meet the man of my dreams and the end of a long aisle of velvet with soft music playing.

Yes it is your special day and you have asked a lot of your attendants in the process. It is time to thank them at the rehearsal dinner by giving them a very nice thank you gift. You can plan out what you are going to do and have these gifts well in advance showing your put a lot of thought into their thank you.

You make your bridesmaids wear really tacky dresses so at least get them a nice gift. Oh yes they can wear the dress again, right; that is what we tell ourselves. You can find many deals in retail shops and online for personalized gifts that really say thank you to your wedding party. It is good to have a small bag of goodies like they are presenters at an awards show.

A great thing to add to the gift bag is an item your bridesmaids can wear on the day of the wedding. A nice piece of costume jewelry is always a good idea and many of the pieces look real. An item such as jewelry pendants can be a nice touch to every outfit that coordinates together for a nice design touch.

Use can find costume jewelry free shipping online too when you order all the pieces together. This is a nice bonus. Some companies will engrave pieces for an added touch. You can even add the date of your wedding as well to help them remember the date.

The groomsmen can have personalized pieces too. A silver flask is nice or a designer pen. There are other items such as a key chain that you can give them that are personalized. Add it to their gift bags and then add some of their favorite things to each bag. They will be ready to go for the big day.

By assembling the gifts ahead of time you can be prepared to really take the time for a nice note to include and thank them personally for their time in being a part of your wedding. Get gift bags that match the colors of your wedding for a nice design touch. You can get the bags in one color and embellish with a satin ribbon in the other colors adding a hint of gold or silver to compliment.

Here’s The Skinny On Big, Beautiful Fashions

without comments

Don’t you just hate all those skinny supermodels we all see in women’s magazines? Yet people hold up these women with their abnormal bodies as paragons of beauty. Well, we’ve had it with that sort of stuff in our family. All it took was our cousin’s wedding to set us straight.

Our family genotype - that means the way our genes make us out to be - runs toward larger-than-average sizes. Both the men and women in our family tend to be tall and large in stature. We think it comes from all those farmers in our family tree!

The whole thing came to a head when our cousin got engaged to her high school sweetheart. We’re a close family, so she wanted as many people as possible to be in her wedding. We were beginning to think there’d be nobody left in the pews on the bride’s side. Our laughter turned sour, however, when our cousin got hold of some bridal magazines. It wasn’t long before we were fighting over how to lose fat instead of getting ready for a joyous wedding.

Our family fights over losing weight finally reached such a point that Celia and her fiance Frank (who’s no beanpole guy, either) thought they might have to elope because nobody was talking to anybody else. That’s when Celia’s mother, Aunt Marge, got into the act in a great way.

Marge talked to one of her friends who runs a bridal shop in a large Midwestern city. Marge’s friend told her that she sees this problem all the time, and that she knew just how to fix it. The bridal shop owner loaned Marge one of her dress catalogs that showed how beautiful and becoming a plus size wedding dress could be. She also sent along some information on how to determine body types and what styles of gowns look best on which body types.

Then Marge got all the ladies in the family together on the pretext of a gathering to look at party jewelry. We looked at jewelry all right, but she also showed everyone her friend’s catalog with those stunning bridal gowns in them. Celia couldn’t believe her eyes, and neither could the rest of us.

Marge, who is a fabulous seamstress anyway, got out her tape measure and measured everyone of us right then and there! We each wrote down our measurements and decided on what body shape we each have. We haven’t had so much girlie fun in ages!

The great wedding dress battle had a happy ending, just like a good romance should. The bride and her attendants walked proudly down the church aisle in wedding gowns that fitted us perfectly and made us all look like fairy tale princesses (large economy size, of course). Our aunt’s scheme really saved the wedding day.

Finding the Dream Anniversary Gifts

without comments

A wedding anniversary is truly a monumental occasion as not only does it signify another year of wedded bliss, but it’s also the day to really celebrate the marriage and fondly remember the entire wedding day. If you’re getting ready to celebrate your own anniversary, then of course you’ll want to take plenty of time to find just the right present for her . And over the years, diamond rings and other gemstones or similar pieces of fine jewelry have all become excellent choices for anniversary gifts

Anniversary rings, whether encrusted with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires or any of the other countless types of dazzling gems available, were at one time reserved for “special” anniversaries, such as the 25th But today, many couples choose to celebrate their day with these and other beautiful reminders of their love

Though diamonds are widely loved, they are by no means the choice of every single person and anniversary rings are made in many different styles as well as with many different gemstones . To begin narrowing down your many options, first choose from popular metals such as white or yellow gold, silver, and platinum for the band itself and then decide on the actual style or setting of the ring .

Some styles and designs to consider include antique, modern, and traditional with various settings such as channel-set, pave, or baguette. Also remember that you’re not limited to white diamonds as the sparkling gem may be found in interesting colors such as pink, yellow, and champagne as well .

If you know that she would prefer it you could pass over the diamond rings and choose something completely different such as a sapphire ring or a ruby ring which will display itself proudly and go well with any other jewelry that she happens to wear .

Or, some women prefer to wear their rings on their right hand alone instead of on the left with their bridal set. If this is the case and the ring will be worn alone or with just a plain wedding band, you’ll have more options in terms of settings and size as you won’t want the new piece to dwarf or overpower the others. And, if the new ring is a completely different style than the bridal rings, she may also want to wear it separately on the right hand .

In addition to diamond rings, you may also want to consider other options for an anniversary gift such as diamond earrings in any number of carat weights and shapes, or perhaps one of the gorgeous types of diamond pendants to choose from. Pendants may be ornate and elaborate or dainty and delicate and can be found in varying lengths .

Pearl jewelry is yet another option for an anniversary gift that’s sure to be a cherished keepsake for many years to come. Pearls convey a timeless sense of elegance that’s unrivaled by few other types of jewelry.

Perhaps one of the very best things about shopping for anniversary rings is simply the sheer number of choices you’ll find available. This gives you plenty of unique options to consider, and allows you to choose that one perfect piece that will complement her personal style as well as pay testament to the joyous memory of your wedding day.

Your Wedding Present Should Be Thoughtful

without comments

Summer came together with several wedding invitations. I normally look forward to weddings although the it is the gift buying part which sometimes gives me some problems. I, of course want to buy these couples an ideal gift within a certain budget. If I get invited to the bridal shower as well, then that also accounts for another gift.

Bridal Shower

Buying gifts for the bridal shower is less complicated as you can procure your gift as listed in the wedding registry. If you want to give the gift that you really want to give the bride, you have to go the shop as soon as you get the invitation, otherwise you will be left with gifts that might not be your first choice. Now, the wedding gift is the gift that you have to give more thought to.

Wedding Present Should Suggest a Theme

Maybe I am just too detail oriented, but as much as possible I strive to fit the wedding present to the wedding’s theme. For example, knowing that this couple loves the outdoors, I might give them a nice picnic basket with several bottles of wine. If my gift to them is an appliance like a mixer, I am likely to package this with some favorite recipes of mine or a cookbook.

Generally, I think it is nice to try to keep a wedding gift on a smaller size scale because it is difficult to transport gifts after a wedding reception. Trying to keep that in mind, things can get a little dicey!

Many times, the type of wedding gift you give can depend on the area the wedding is taking place. Some areas of the country have customary gifts, especially if it is given from a family member. Also, in many areas of the country it is customary to simply give some form of money as a wedding gift. I know in my area of the country, you very rarely see wedding gifts on the table during the wedding, but there are plenty of cards containing money. However, when I go to family weddings in the Midwest, a wedding gift is usually a physical present and not money.

I am sure I will find something to give as gifts for my upcoming weddings, and I’m sure I will over analyze what I end up giving. I will have to just remember that it is the thought that counts, and if worse comes to worst I can always give the appreciated gift of cash!

Make Your Anniversary special by giving her a Diamond Necklace

without comments

So you have your wedding anniversary coming up. You are no doubt shopping around for a present for your wife - but many men are just not sure what to buy! Most women expect a beautiful and special gift from their husband, especially on the milestone anniversaries such as the first, fifth, tenth and twentieth.

Milestone anniversaries traditionally have a specific gift type attached to them - for example the first anniversary is paper and the tenth is tin. However this might not cut it in the modern world! In most cases a gift made out of paper won’t receive a great reception from your wife on your first anniversary - most men will surely be aware of this fact! Following this tradition, the sixtieth anniversary brings the gift of diamonds. But why wait? Regardless of how long you have been married, diamond jewellery makes an unforgettable gift, and most women will appreciate it more than a piece of jewellery made out of tin!

There are many options you can consider when you are shopping for diamond jewellery for your anniversary gift. You probably proposed with a beautiful engagement ring, so choosing a different type of diamond jewellery that will match is a great idea. A diamond necklace is the perfect versatile accessory that will be treasured forever - your wife is sure to be pleasantly surprised to receive a stunning diamond necklace to add to her jewellery collection.

Versatile is definitely the word when it comes to diamond necklaces! The necklace has many more forms than the diamond ring, and probably more forms than any other diamond jewellery. There are thousands of different combinations of length, settings and stones to choose from. To begin with, you should work out the budget you have to spend on your gift. When you know this, it will be easier to decide on a style that falls within what you have to spend.

You should first look at what sort of diamond you would like in the diamond necklace. The Internet is a great resource for this, often with very detailed pictures and descriptions. The basic shapes of diamond are:

Round Brilliant Diamonds - This is the most popular modern diamond shape, and accounts for 75% of the diamond trade. Oval Diamonds - A rounded, symmetrical design. Marquise Diamonds - Pointed at the ends, with a long rounded middle. Pear Shaped Diamonds - A mix between Oval and Marquise, pointed at the top and rounded at the bottom. Heart Shaped Diamonds - The most romantic cut, shaped like a heart for your sweetheart! Emerald Cut Diamonds - A rectangular cut, with rounded corners. Princess Cut Diamonds - A square cut, very popular due to the sparkle it gives the diamond. Trilliant Diamonds - An extremely brilliant cut, the many different facets of this triangular diamond give it an unparalleled sparkle. Radiant Cut Diamonds - Another brilliant cut, in a neat square or rectangular shape.

A diamond necklace will bring out the best in any of these shapes, so it is best to choose one that will suit your wife’s personality and existing collection.

The type of metal setting and chain will also come down to personal preference. Whatever will match the jewellery that your wife already owns is best, whether that is gold, white gold, silver or platinum. Every woman has a preference for what sort of metal she likes, and it should be easy to tell from her existing collection. Apart from these basics, the specifics of your diamond necklace are limitless! There is a lot of variety when it comes to length, style and overall design. Again, browsing online will give you a good idea of what’s out there before you head out to the shops.

Your wedding anniversary is meant to be a fun and happy time. So don’t stress about it, buy your wife a gift of a diamond necklace which she is sure to love, and relax! After all, it is your anniversary too!

Spectacular Dream Weddings and Honeymoon in Kenya

without comments

Kenya offers the right combination of beautiful and romantic hotels, stunning scenery, and is easily accessible to visitors. A wedding in Kenya is an ideal opportunity for the bride, groom, and guests alike to also experience the romance and adventure of a Kenyan honeymoon. While the idea of arranging a wedding in a foreign country may seem daunting, the legalities of marrying in Kenya can be readily arranged.

Kenya is lucky to have many private game ranches or lodges which allows a myriad of choice for those interested in having their wedding in this country. For example, the bride and groom can get a special wedding package that can also include their guests. On the other hand, Kenya is also considered one of the most romantic destinations for those seeking to have their honeymoon here. There are many options for those couples that are searching for a private paradise of privacy and peace.

When planning a wedding, couples should let their imaginations run wild for their wedding to be truly memorable. One of the major issues to consider when organizing a wedding in Kenya is the backdrop for the special day. Some of the options to consider include beach, the bush, riverbanks, tented wilderness camps or in remote safari locations. The choices are many.

Weddings in Kenya can be conducted in many ways including having it on the beach barefoot, relaxing under the canvas or even have it in the traditional formal black ties and wedding gowns. Because of its mix of formality and wilderness experience, this has becomes Kenya’s trademark of a romantic safari lifestyle which makes it easy to arrange a honeymoon or wedding in Kenya.

For example, when a wedding is held in one of the beach resorts at the coast, the reception area of the hotel is completely transformed into a wedding chapel decorated with local tropical flowers. The marriage registrar or local pastor officiates over a wonderfully informal ceremony followed by a garden reception. The reception is also an opportunity to enjoy a delicious Kenyan sea food buffet with an evening’s dancing bringing to an end a most relaxed and happy occasion.

The following is an option for a wedding ceremony at Galdessa Camp, Tsavo East National park.

Memorable Dream Wedding at Galdessa Camp

Galdessa Camp is a small luxury tented lodge that is located in the Tsavo East national park. The camp has eight spacious “bandas” that are constructed under the shade of the doum palm trees. The camps are spacious, comfy and fresh to the visitor. All the tented lodges face the Yatta Plateau, which is said to be the world’s largest lava flow.

The camps walls are made out of canvas and its mosquito nets are set tastefully in timber frames. Its thatched roofs, natural woods, mosquito netting and stone tablets create a romantic interior that enhances the contacts and rhythms with the wild outside.

Another romantic room is the honeymoon suite which has its own sitting room, a platform to view the wildlife and a water wallow. This is one of the few camps that is found in one of the best successful conservation projects in Kenya and as such is blessed to have about 48 black rhinos within its area.

The required documents are: Birth Certificates, Passports, Certificate of No Impediment or sworn affidavit (in case of not having married before) Decree OR absolute (in cases of divorcees). OR Death certificate (in cases of widow or widower)

The couples that are intending to get married need to be in the country three working days before the wedding date and they need to apply for a special wedding license to go ahead with their wedding. When they wed they will receive a wedding certificate and after another four working days, will receive a certified copy of the entry into wedding registry.

Banquet Themes: Bringing Your Banquet Together with the Right Theme

without comments

There is always a reason for putting together a banquet. It could be a celebration related to your work, a retirement party, a wedding reception or some other celebration, you are still creating a night which is going to be special. Because you want the night to be a success and for your guests to have a great time, tying everything together with a theme is the best way to make the decorations and the presentations all work toward this goal.

Although you are somewhat limited because of your incident, you can still be creative when you create this evening’s theme. To decorate and create the right mood for the evening, seasons help with the good ideas. While a banquet in December will almost always suggest a winter or Christmas theme, one in the early summer may have you leaning toward vacation or beach type of imagery and decorations.

It’s often a good move to put together a theme committee to take ideas and think though what would be a good theme that fits the purpose of the banquet and creates the right mood. If it’s a celebration such as a prom or a seasonal party, you have a lot of leverage for a theme. But even in the case of a wedding reception or a company annual Christmas party where you have the purpose of the banquet to keep in mind, you can create a theme around a color scheme or something related to the event that can inspire a lot of creative ideas in your committee.

Brainstorming in a committee has its advantage, that is, you benefit from the different talents of the group. You have the realistic individuals on the group who know what you can and cannot get away with and what you are able and not able to pay for from a budget point of view. And if you have on the same committee the creative people who know how to dream up wonderful banquet themes and ideas to make the banquet magical, you can eventually arrive at a theme that’s both fun and exciting and realistic as well.

Once you settle on a banquet theme in terms of a concept for the banquet, then you can put everyone to work to focus in on that theme. Once you have your theme in mind then subcommittees can coordinate the music, the speakers, the entertainment, the decorations and even the lighting so it all comes together beautifully. If everyone sticks to the plan, your banquet will be recalled by all of the guests as a wonderful experience. Banquet Ideas is another aspect to carefully consider.

Ideas On How to Find Bridal Shower Gifts

without comments

If you have been invited to a bridal shower organized to commemorate the final few days of freedom for the bride-to-be, it’s a long-established tradition that you offer some type of present. However, bridal shower presents aren’t always the simplest things to buy. It might be hard to figure out just what an appropriate gift might be, and even if you come up with a few great thoughts, attempting to actually find what you want can even be a harder chore.

The initial job that you have is to try and decide exactly what it is that you want to purchase for the bride-to-be. Even though bridal shower gifts are given to the soon-to-be bride, that doesn’t mean that you can not be thinking of the groom as well. A present which is meant to be for both of them will usually be loved even more so than one that is intended purely for the bride. An example of a excellent gift idea would be wedding photo frames for their wedding photos.

Where to Find the Best Wedding Gift

Bridal shower gifts are available most anyplace you might look, but there are normally two primary places where they can be found. There are places which deal only in wedding supplies and gifts. These places primarily sell gifts that are established as long time top sellers. The merchandise you will find at these wedding and gift specialty shops include tea sets for two, honeymoon luxury packages and much more.

Secondly, don’t overlook the convenience stores when you are looking for bridal shower gifts. Depending on what it is you are shopping for, you might just find the ideal gift in one of these kinds of stores. You might even think about buying an assortment of items from different places and crafting your own personal gift basket of some kind, as these can make awesome wedding presents.

Buy Online or Offline?

After you have figured out what sort of bridal shower gift you would like to get, you have to decide where you are going to go to get it. A number of items can be purchased for wildly different prices, and it’s worth taking a look on the web as well as in traditional stores, as you can often get a better buy by doing an online search.

After you have found the merchandise you want and have decided to get it online, do a search for coupon codes for that particular online store too. By doing this, you can on occasion discover a coupon for free shipping or a certain percentage off your total order. This may save you even more money. So, make certain that you know just what you want to buy and shop around before buying the bridal shower gifts that you like the best.
