Your daughter will greatly enjoy having her friends invited over for an incredible girls-day-out spa day in her outdoor play house.  All it takes is some pre-spa ground work:

After gaining ideas from your daughter, have several beauty stations planned out in the kids playhouse. Some beauty station examples are, a “manicurist” station to work on nails, a “facial” station to deep clean the face, and a “make-up artists” designated space for slathering on gobs of gloss. If you have a loft in the children’s playhouse, this could be a really fun place for the pedicures. There the “pedicurist” can paint those little toe nails, and afterward, girls can let their feet dangle and swing as the polish dries without having to worry about them getting messed up!

Select hypoallergenic beauty products and styling tools that are specifically made for children.  As you gather your beauty supplies, whether it is from an upscale specialty beauty products store like Sephora or the more inexpensive dollar store products, make sure whatever you get is age-appropriate. For a fresh-faced young girl, a little light blush can go a long way.

For the facial station, you may want to have them use natural ingredients that are also edible. This is a nice alternative if you don’t want to worry about someone accidentally eating any chemicals!  Before the spa day, go online with your daughter to research all-natural facial mask recipes.

When the spa day arrives and depending upon the age of your daughter and her friends, be sure to give the girls plenty of freedom to play and experiment as they give each other beauty treatments. One of the best parts of the day is for your daughter and her friends to have fun, socialize and be creative as they enjoy each other’s company.  When you have helped set up the spa stations in the kids playhouse and are relaxing and listening to the laughter of the girls, you too can light heartedly enjoy their amusement when one of the girls emerge with rainbow colored toes!
