What To Look When Considering A Mechanical Bull Rental
If you are planning an event, a mechanical bull rental may be your entertainment solution. There are some things you should think about; however, before choosing a vendor. It is important that your event location is suitable for this type of ride, and that you have the appropriate safety precautions in place.
The first thing you should consider is which vendors have a ride available for the date of your event. Since these machines can be very heavy, you may also want to verify that the rental fee includes the delivery and setup of the equipment. Most companies send an individual to operate the ride for your event as well.
The dimensions of these rides may vary, so it is important that you make sure that the one you choose will fit within the intended area of placement. Weight may also be a concern. If you plan to have the ride placed on a stage or platform, you should make sure that the area is constructed to withstand the weight of the machine.
These machines can differ in the type of power supply that is needed as well. Ask the vendor for the specific requirements, and make sure that your venue meets these criteria. If you are renting a location for the event, the person in charge of scheduling should also be able to help you determine if the ride is appropriate.
Since mechanical bulls can differ in construction and design, rental fees can vary. It may be a good idea to get a quote from various vendors. This may help to ensure that you are getting a fair rate. When reviewing the rates; however, keep in mind which benefits are most important to you. For instance, if you prefer to rent from a vendor that supplies trained ride operator for the event, it may be worth paying a little extra.
Although it is important that the rental fees fit within the event budget, safety should be the highest priority. Most rides are positioned on top of an air mattress that will ensure a safe landing for the riders. You may also want to ask if the company is insured, and inquire about any safety policies and procedures that are in place. Also, make sure that the ride is inspected and maintained regularly.
You can ensure a fun and safe experience for your guests, if you know what to look for in a mechanical bull rental. Be sure that the vendor you choose offers the services and safety precautions you desire, and that your venue meets the ride requirements. Knowing that you have taken these things into consideration will allow you to make a confident decision.

TOP 5 WAYS TO ENSURE YOUR PARTY IS A SUCCESS
Birthday parties involve a lot of work. Making the party a resounding success can be even more difficult. There is a lot to consider.
Keep reading for 5 friendly pointers on creating the ultimate birthday party.
{1)} A Plan. Coming up with the best party idea will require some thought. But really it just takes a little organisation to make things run smoothly. Good planning is paramount. Select your attendees. Next comes an RSVP date, it can be set in stone or mutable. For those choosing a themed party it makes sense to select it at the outset. Choose a place to hold your party that is appropriate to your desires.
{2)} Party Supply. Now comes the part where you find what you need to deck your party out. Adults or kids birthday party invitations and wedding invitations are easily attainable in most newsagents or supermarkets. But it makes sense to get everything you need in the one place. Look for a party shop that fits your needs. Balloons, invitations and decorations are just a few of the things they will be able to assist you with. There is no reason you should waste your time, effort and money in doing something that you don’t need to.
With birthday parties, above all else, remember to organise the cake!
{3)} On the day assistance. Get a few people to assist you on the day. Your helpers will allow you the freedom to concentrate on the important areas. Just a few hands will mean that the party will run smoother and give you the time to get some enjoyment out of it.
{4)} The final stage. Get the food ready. Give the yard and house a quick sprucing up. Next comes preparing the party area with decorations and tables. Finalise your music selection and you are good to go.
{5)} Finally it is time. Here we go. Send your pets away for the day or lock them up. They can be a hazard when a lot of people are moving around. Have a camera ready to go. Happy snaps are the memories you will cherish.
Now it’s time to party!

The Look and Feel of an Invitation Sets the Tone
So you’re organizing a major event, be it a birthday party or a wedding, you have set the time, picked the venue, you might even have the guest list – now you have to make the announcement.
Making the right invitation can regularly be quite a challenge – while many might state it’s only the invite, it’s only the notification of your special day – but that’d be someone that has not had to arrange a major function like an engagement party or a Christening
Capturing the right style and theme for your event reflects on the efforts you put into your invitations. Sending a $2 pre printed invite from the local stationers might be ok for your son’s 3rd birthday but for a wedding.
Whether it’s a wedding, a birth announcement or maybe a 21st, the invitations become a memento of the party – the invite often frames your own photo album and for many invited guests are kept in theirs.
To lose the art of creativity when it comes to an announcement is ruinous. The skilled calligraphers who hand crafted notices is on the wane.
Back pre 1400′s, when it was rare to leave the region of a local hamlet, the Town crier could walk the roads announcing in a loud voice the news of the day. Frequently it was open invitation, quite like the general public events of Facebook!
As the centuries rolled past, by 1447 Gutenberg’s Printing Press came into play and steadily the middle class could create prime quality invitations through metal plate engraving (circa 1642) and lithographs by the 1800′s.
These advances in technology allowed a much wider use of printing so the masses could announce their special occassions with a printed invite giving the guest something to hold onto as a souvenir of the occassion.
Now, personalising invitations is as simple as creating something at home and printing it. That said , a quality personalized birth announcement or wedding invite is worth the investment, particularly when it can all be done online and is sometimes less expensive than the cost of home printer ink cartridges!

Egyptian Themed Birthday Party
Ancient Egypt is a fascinating place all these years later. From mummies and pyramids to pharos and scarabs there is plenty of fuel for the fascination pyre. Keep in mind however, that the goal here is for the kids to have a great time, not to be frightened so keep the scary stuff to a minimum if possible (even if your child is brave to a fault that doesn’t mean that some of the guests won’t be frightened and you want the experience to be pleasant for everyone).
Decorations for this are not as difficult as you may think. In fact, some of these decorations will double quite nicely for Halloween or may already be in your Halloween stash. First of all, if you have a canopy or tent lying around this will make an excellent substitution for a pyramid. You can fill your canopy or tent with relics that are authentic looking for what would be inside an Egyptian pyramid. Use skulls (leftover from Halloween decorations) on the floor, gold coins (or doubloons, which can be purchased rather inexpensively at many party supply stores), sequins that look like jewels, and fake jewelry that might have been worn during the period. Of course the piece de resistance will be the mummy wrapped in the corner (if this isn’t part of your Halloween stash it should be after this).
Now, what self respecting mummies home doesn’t have a great curse to go along with it? Before allowing the guests into the “pyramid” you need to make sure they are aware of the curse that goes along with it. It’s a fun little addition to the theme and a lot of fun to watch their eyes as you tell the tale of the mummy inside and why the tomb is cursed.
If you are still looking for excellent activities you can bury treasure in your sandbox (if you have one) and let them all take turns digging up treasures and/or artifacts that they can take home with them. Make sure everyone has at least one turn and gets one thing to take home from the digging.
You can either barbecue dinner or order pizza or something simple for dinner. I recommend letting the guests eat inside the pyramid for fun (if it isn’t too terribly hot) and allow for a showing of The Mummy afterwards (provided the audience is old enough and interested). You could also allow them to play in the tomb for a while or make it an overnight event and allow them to camp in the tomb if it’s a tent.
Great goody bag gifts include flashlights, glow sticks, spiders, chocolate coins, stickers, and other candy jewelry. One great game for an Egyptian themed birthday party would be wrap the mummy. Divide the kids into groups of three and have them take turns racing to wrap the mummy (a member of the team) in toilet paper. Do this so that everyone has the opportunity to be wrapped – just be sure to use the cheap brands of toilet paper for this particular project and plan on having plenty in case they get a little overzealous.
Most importantly you want to plan an event that is fun to participate in and that will have all your guests eager to come back for the big birthday bash next year. Just remember you’ll be expected to top the current theme and might gain a reputation for throwing the cool parties.

How To Throw A Kid’s Birthday Party
A child’s birthday is both an exciting day for the kid and a proud moment for the parents. Throwing a birthday party for their son or daughter and their friends can be stressful though – it has to go well and the child has to enjoy it. Here are some handy tips to getting it just right.
First of all, you need to sort out the guest list. Ask your child who they want to invite and, perhaps more importantly, who they don’t. Obviously the older the child the more sense this makes, but you still want to make sure that the guests are those your child wants to be there.
You will also know from your experience at school who is in your child’s class and who their friends are, so don’t be afraid of inviting some he or she doesn’t mention.
Now you need to decide on a theme and one great option is fancy dress. Kids love to dress up and if you pick a specific theme then you can base your whole party, including the fancy dress around it. Pick something the kids know well – Disney films or Superheroes for example – and they will enjoy it more.
Send out your invites with the date, time, occasion and the theme of the party. In this example we’ll use Disney films so your invite should ask guests to come dressed as Disney characters.
Now you need to think about the cake and the food and drink. The cake should reflect the theme and any decent cake maker will be able to design and make one in the form of a Disney character or similar. And, of course, you need the number of candles to match the age of your child!
Food should be a mix of sweet and savoury. You want the children to eat something healthy but it is a birthday party, so something sweet should be included!
Sandwiches, an array of vegetable sticks (eg. carrot, cucumber, celery) with dips and cheese and pineapple on sticks will cover this just fine. As your theme is Disney, you could get some American sweets and potato chips instead of normal sweets and crisps. It’ll really add to the theme.
Examples include Hershey Caramel Kisses, Tootsie Rolls and you could even try Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Potato chips like Fritos can be put in bowls on the table as well.
Organise lots of games for the kids to play and keep to the theme. This is where your imagination really comes into play. You can base your games on traditional party games but give them a Disney twist!
What about Pin the Tail on the Donkey – but make the donkey the one from Shrek. Or Pass the Parcel with the prize a Disney toy. Musical Chairs will work just fine with songs and music from a variety of Disney films. The options are endless if you think about it.
For a bit of quiet time, sit the kids down in front of your child’s favourite Disney movie – though getting 10-20 children to sit quietly through a film might be a challenge, so be prepared to abandon that one in favour of more games.
The important thing to remember is that this is your son or daughter’s party and they will want to end the day with a big smile, a sleepy head and some fantastic memories. All it takes is a little planning and a lot of imagination!

Planning A Birthday Party For Kids?
The basics of party planning are enough to create a memorable kids’ birthday party. Planning a birthday party isn’t that tough. The basics of planning a birthday party comprise good food, great decor and the guests’ attendance.
Send the Invitations
Make your guest list and create invitations based on that list. Make sure the number of invites you send out tally with the number of people you are renting tables and chairs for. Every guest on the list should have a seat. You need to also consider the fact that the guests could bring other guests. Just Just in case, add a few extra chairs.
Sending the invitations is a particularly important part of the planning. A party is not a party without the guests. The schedule you choose for your party must fit the schedule of guests.
Prepare the Menu
The menu should fit the theme of the party. Kids should be able to eat all the food you prepare. You should not serve raw foods like sushi or spicy food. The basics like chicken and fries are great, but they should be served nicely. Kids love spaghetti but they tend to get messy, so better stick with food that won’t stain much. The drinks can be served as a Kool-aid station. You must also provide a place for the grown-ups to hang out.
Consider the time of the day for serving food when you plan your menu. A big meal should have carbo, proteins and sweets. You are better off serving snacks. Sweets are great for dessert, but not as main courses. Ice cream melts in any weather so you should serve ice cream last.
Decorations
The decor should be according to what’s in right now. Know your fairy tales and the popular cartoon characters at the moment. When kids celebrate with other kids, they want to see their cartoons around. If you would rather not use cartoon characters, you can stick with the conventional themes like princess, under the sea and cowboy ranch.

Celebrations – The Lesser Recognized
The Globe English Dictionary provides 3 meanings for celebration.
1. To rejoice in something; celebrating a victory
2. To see or acknowledge: a birthday for instance
3. To execute; a religious ceremony
The word has Latin roots, just like so numerous English words. It is based on celebrare, which means numerous, thronged or renowned. Appropriate, since most celebrations include numerous individuals, a throng, as it were. Many celebrations are widely recognized, like Christmas, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving.
You will find also much lesser recognized celebrations and I’d love to experience a few of them here. I had been particularly fascinated to see what party might exist on my birthday, October first, and certain enough, Globe Vegetarian Day. Is ketchup a vegetable? This event was started by North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 and later supported by International Vegetarian Union in 1978, in which, I assume, conferred upon it worldwide status. The concept for the day would be to promote the happiness, concern (no animals killed) and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism. I’m an omnivore personally, and was slightly miffed at the prospect of sharing my birthday with herbivores, but hey, could be worse. I’m still intent on having a two-inch thick, medium rare sirloin with the trimmings for my birthday dinner. I hope they won’t mind over there at the IVU. Let us not tell them!
My mother’s birthday, bless her heart, is 9/11, so we will not touch that particular one.
My brother was born on August 19th. He shares his birthday with National Aviation Day, a genuine US Holiday by proclamation of President Franklin D. Roosevelt himself. The year, 1939! Now I’m envious! It’s Orville Wright’s birthday as well. You know, the initial powered flight, Kitty Hawk. I had vegetables! For this date, we honour the successes of Orville & Wilbur Wright. Sometimes the achievements of other early aviation and space pioneers will also be acknowledged.
The Navajo Mountain Chant is a 9-day celebration marking the end of winter and the transition to spring. It consists of chanting, arrow swallowing, and sand painting and culminates with dancing in the circle of participants camouflaged as evergreens. It is said by tribal elders, the initial circle of evergreens was 6 miles in diameter.
I wonder concerning the need of celebrations. Have they got a fundamental purpose beyond what are the superficial names of Birthday, National Aviation Day, etc. suggests? Perhaps, in the end, all celebrations have been a reaffirmation of life. A reason to recognize that we are here or have been here and will be here. Celebrations are bookmarks in the endless pages of human existence. Always changing, evolving and providing the excuse for the socialization, companionship and human interaction that, I believe, will be the true basis for celebrations of all stripes.
Even if a birthday, celebrated with the close circle of friends and family or maybe a National Aviation Day, encompassing a larger circle of humanity whose usual desire and purpose draw them together and build an additional page in the thick book of life.

Here, we are going to talk about a number of the main factors to planning a good celebration for your toddler.
To start with, you will want to choose a theme for the bday celebration. In the event that your toddler is 2 or older, this will likely be largely determined by just what their own personalized likes tend to be right now in life. Naturally, this may be determined by how large their class is and the type and location of the party.

Star Wars Birthday Party
Even though there hasn’t been a recent film release, Star Wars remains a popular favorite among fans new and old. Kids of all ages from 2 to 52 find the world that was created by Star Wars creator George Lucas to be an infinitely fascinating world in which to allow their imagination and fantasies to take flight in that galaxy far, far away. If your special birthday girl or boy is a fan of these films this is the can’t miss party theme to add to your perfect birthday party list.
There are many ways you can go that will bring the theme to light in a way that allows everyone to have fun. First of all, you could have a classic Star Wars event with the original Episodes (IV, V, and VI) showing one after the other throughout the party. This is perfect for an overnight or all day sort of party as it allows breaks in between the showings and plenty of time to incorporate some serious snack making or pizza ordering without interfering with the DVDs being played in the back ground.
If you want to take things a step further you can also have your guests come dressed as their favorite Star Wars characters from all six films. If you are truly adventurous you can do a back-to-back showing of all six films though this makes for a very long weekend sort of event. Perfect if your birthday falls on around a 3-day weekend such as Labor Day or Memorial Day. Otherwise it’s a great idea but you may want to break it up into two years’ worth of celebrations.
If you are friends or your child’s friends are a creative bunch you can have a session where guests speculate and create tall tales about what happens between Episodes III and IV as well as what happens to favorite characters after Episode VI. This is a lot of fun and creates a sort of role-playing atmosphere for the party that can be a huge amount of fun.
If this isn’t enough activity and you want a little something to wear the kids (big or small) out you might want to invite your guests to a Jedi training academy of sorts. Set up an obstacle course for everyone to follow and a series of exercises similar to what Luke went through in The Empire Strikes Back. The winner can get some Star Wars themed award for giggles and a little added entertainment.
Most bakeries are likely to have a great form cake on hand or in inventory for Star Wars because the theme remains so popular. If not however. There are great cake ideas online that work beautifully for a Star Wars theme with home made birthday cakes. It’s really great if you can try one of these because it will be something a little different from what everyone else who does a Star Wars themed party will have. Of course you could always go with a background of stars and the original Star Wars logo painted in yellow. Simple and yet completely appropriate.
If a Star Wars themed birthday party is anywhere on your wish list for your birthday or your child or significant other’s birthday by all means make your best effort to make this a fun and memorable event. May the Force be with you.
